Download the game instantly and play Unlocked-Games. I guess I just got a super unlucky animal spawn on that run.Cuphead Free Download (v) PC game in a pre-installed direct link. dg, I spent a bit more time playing the hunter and every other hunt I've been on has been fine and resulted in half decent scoring deer. The game should run on the graphics card now rather than the integrated graphics Click "Apply Changes" in the top right hand corner click the text to the right, scroll to the top of the dropdown and select SHIM_RENDERING_OPTIONS_DEFAULT_RENDERING_MODE Scroll down until you find "Shim Rendering Mode Options per application for Optimus" From the profile menu, select "Just Cause 2" click the button to the right of "Driver Version" To get the game running on the graphics card you need to use the program Nvidia inspector I didnt check, but presumably the game would work from there as it used to with the incredibly long loading time and abysmal framerate because it was on the integrated graphics card. Then, as before I set the launch options for just cause 2 as "/dxadapter=0" (without quotes), (right click the game in the game library, select properties, and in the general tab select 'set launch options.') To solve this first i tried running DXSETUP.exe (located in the Steam\SteamApps\common\Just Cause 2\directX folder). Apparently this is a very common problem for Just cause 2 if you try to play it on windows 8 notebooks Part of it was steam's fault apparently because the latest update changed my error from the unhandled exception error i mentioned previously to a "directx error code 3". I have just run the debugger and i get this error: Unhandled exception at 0x01688604 in JustCause2.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x06a22f90. does anyone have any ideas of how i might get this to run again on the PC? i have tried running it with /dxadapter=0 and with /windowed, but neither of those help even after i reduced the resolution on the laptop instance. Now when i try to run it on my PC it will always crash at bootup. however, like that it would run just fine, albeit at very low settings and framerate. also on the laptop i had to use the launch option /dxadapter=0 to get it to even start. i have reduced the resolution of the laptop instance back down to 1360*768 and that still didn't help. Since then I have bought a windows 8 laptop and played it on there a bit and to do so I had to change a bunch of the settings to much lower ones, except for the resolution that was bumped up from 1360*768 to 1366*768. I havent played it in a while on my PC, but just cause 2 used to work just fine on my PC ages ago. If a mod could change the title to something like "Fix for Just cause 2 crashing on bootup" that would be great I will see if this solves the problem of it running on my PC when i have access to it on Sunday, and probably forget to report back here. This fix also makes it render on my laptop's graphics card rather than the integrated graphics card which just couldn't cope. Originally it was the unhandled exception, but that changed to a "directx error code 3" when steam was updated. The combination of the latest steam update and a neat solution i found on the internet has foxed the problem. I'm getting the same problem but in multiplayer now so if anyone could help that would be great.
